SMB Commercial

If you go with Unifi AP's, don't feel obligated to go with their switches if you are that cheap.

They look good but aren't fun to configure.

If you are that cheap and don't want to pay for the Ruckus/Brocade/Broadcom, Cisco, Aruba then just go with MikroTik. I don't know of anything else coming out of Latvian so it seems they collectively put all their focus here. Support those guys before the US finds a way to install a "Democracy" there that gives kickbacks to the Global Elites

VLans or Subnet

If you are smart enough to figure out how to route across a subnet, by nature you should be smart enough to figure out why VLANS are important.

If your boss is really that cheap and don't want to buy managed switches, well I feel bad for you. Subnet Away (just pay no attention to all that extra chatter)

Open Source

Just be careful when you tell your boss that TrueNAS can do it all and then you realize that you are still using a Hybrid window environment and it's best to shell out the dollars for SharePoint.Teams products that come already in a Microsoft Business Premium Sub

Hypervisors

Unless you are aleady using Ubntu for everything and have 40 differnt DOcker compose stacks, proabbly want to at least have that Hypervisor --> VM model going for somethings. Even if it's for those Pesky Windows DC that can at least be running on Hyper-V (something something 16 core licenses = 2 VM's)

CCTV

If it's new Frigate NVR FOSHO if it's not, then hopefully it's ethernet based and not Coaxial. That would suck or be expensive. 1 in and of the same
