BSD - those crazy Berkley people did do something great here, it gave rise to Appple/MAC devices and our beloved routers and NAS systems.

Unix - nobody was castrated, simply the building blocks of Linux. Android Devices, TV's, your screen in your car, all Unix based.

Windows - Ehhhh yeah. Self explanatory.
